    Now for some poetry..

I wonder what their lives were like,
How did they spend their days?
What about their years of wander?
Will I ever know their ways.
If only someone had taken time
To leave a note of who, what, where, or when,
    These faces of my heritage
    Would come to life again!

  • Marcy's wagon

    Across the wandering South

    Where bluebonnet dots, and

    There a tarantella spreads atop

    A random hill.

Where blazing and blinking stars light

A free blowing wind carries the howls and dances of

    Long ago chief and squaw.

Where prickly pears bear red wax blossoms, and

Mescal thrusts and thirsts to the clouds

    Over tracks of slithering snakes.

And whistling wails in moonlight beams

    Echo ancient wagon songs

    Where I belong.

  • TREEDECK OBSERVATORY

    Somewhere up in the trees

Where you can feel the sun and the breeze

Can't you hear those birds a singing ?

    Spring is here!

  • THOUGHTFUL GARDENS

  • heirloom lounge

    Days fly by quickly
    and children move on.
    Before we know it
    the "old times" are gone.
    But as we look back
    at generations gone by,
    We, reflect on the memories
    that serve as a tie.
    Binding us together
    With future and past;
    and building a story
    that forever will last.

  • rusty's landing

It floats on a mildly sloping hill,
That is dotted with haphazard trees.
Overlooking a thoughtful garden long labored,
That is now a bearer of fruit.

To the right of it lays a few broken posts,
That, I'm sure, once, helped to contain,
Some cattle that surely supported the farm,
That used to be just down the lane.

To the left, there is just a hint of a path,
That must have been very well-trod.
And, farther off, a much- bustling city,
That, back then, would've looked quite odd.

Below it, the ground hoards some rubble,
Of a farmhouse that fell long ago.
And, amazingly, this old rusty mailbox,
Holds a letter with no place to go.
